As some of you know my family and I are currently travelling in China to visit my grandparents' villages. In addition to our family commitments near Kaiping, we are seeing a few other cities and sights along the way.  While at a Foshan Ancestral Temple we took in a Lion Dance performance. Wowza. And on a side note, no Twitter and Facebook are blocked in China, so using a an email to our posterous blog work-around to share a few photos with family and friends. Can't keep a good social media hack down ;-)

There is nothing like a food-stained and well-worn cookbook.  This impossible to find San Francisco a la Carte Cookbook is my favorite cookbook ever and I have both stained and used it much. The recipes for Ceviche and Beef Stroganoff being to of my personal favorites.

It's been a long time since the San Francisco 49'ers have been good. Yesterday, they played a great game against the New Orleans Saints winning 36-32 to advance to the NFC Championship game. The final four minutes had four lead-changin touchdowns and saw a little redemption for Alex Smith. Good fun as the Jim Harbaugh leads this first year as head coach, his "deal" . . . winning.

The last time the Niners were in the post-season we had cable and Twitter was but a spark in someone's eye. Not this year.

Here was my set up. Streaming the game and livetweeting throughout.
